According to the National Institutes of Health, by the age of 75, 1 in 2 people will have a hearing loss. Given the aging population in the United States, the impact on the health community is phenomenal.

We are excited to announce the development of a multi-module online series! Advantedge Education is working with a practicing audiologist to develop content about caring for those with hearing loss.

The series will cover topics such as:

  • hearing and its importance to health,
  • anatomy of the ear,
  • causes of hearing loss,
  • hearing aids,
  • troubleshooting hearing aids,
  • new hearing technology,
  • cochlear implants,
  • assistive and specialty devices, and more!

The course design for modules 1 and 2 is underway and we hope to launch these first two courses in 2017.

Join our mailing list and be notified when the modules are available.

UPDATE: The first module was released in March 2017. Learn more about Part 1: The Invisible Disability from here.
